So while the insanity of work this week means not too much free time, I did manage to get into the sewing room several times over the weekend to move forward on some of those many projects. And cut a few more things out, because I'm a glutton for a nice hearty to-do list.
Leading the pack on progress is the toddler's sun dress from the vintage pattern. Definitely some learning curve on parts of it as I wouldn't say that an unprinted pattern from the 1940s is full of helpful detailed instructions (cut two sets of straps, but no where does it say where to use the second set? Are they doubled, lined, etc?). So there has been some healthy improvisation. But I'm glad I did it, as starting small with a vintage pattern that is relatively uncomplicated versus, say, a 1930s dress, is probably for the best. And I really want to get this thing up on Etsy by the weekend, to see what the response is.
AND...tonight I will actually have an official Me-Made-May day, as I will be wearing my red dress for Opening. Woot. Nice to put something on I made and still (somewhat) fits. That list is down to maybe three things. It's sad...
Anyway, busy week, but trying not to neglect this page (even though no one is viewing, phew!)
